3 years old dog cant hold bladder?

Hes been drinking a lot of water and its not because of the temp outside. He drinks and drinks so i started controlling the ammount that i give him since i have to go to work and leave him here. That was working but now twice in the same week he has peed in the house. i walk him 3 times a day but still it has happened. taking him to vet tomorrow but dont know whther he has bladder infection or something else. any ideas i'm really worried
Answers:
There are many problems that cause excessive drinking then peeing. The morning of the day you are taking him to the vet when you walk him get a first pee of the day in a clean jar or old clean pill bottle to take with you, you will need it. It it is more than an hour b4 going to the vet put the pee in the fridge. BTW, he didn't get any steriods for itching did he? Pred, steriods, make dogs drink and eat more and often get cranky.
if it never had that before then it is possible it could be a bladder infection but its good youre taking him to the vet
It could also be something in his liver. Don't control what he drinks though, put down newspaper or something.
Yes, it could be an infection, a problem with his liver and/or kidneys, diabetes, enlarged prostate.a trip to the vet is a MUST. ;)
what does your vet say? sounds like diabetes to me.
Take him to the vet please.
He could have a bladder infection.
But excessive thirst and urination is a sign of diabetes. So the vet should check him for both conditons, diabetes and a urinary tract infection.
I'm glad to hear you are taking your dog to the vet. A bladder infection can be cleared up with antibiotics. Your vet may do blood work especially to check for kidney problems and diabetes.
Could be a unrinary tract infection, but if he seems to be drinking more than usual my guess would be diabetes. Take him to a vet they will take urine and blood samples to determine the cause. Bladder or urinary tract infections don't usually cause an increase in drinking.
A three years old dog should be able to hold. But if there is infection of urethra-tube that allows urine from bladder to outside-or infection of bladder itself he may have to evacuate more often. Or he may be suffering from diabetes also for he drinks and drinks which is not unusual. Anyway you have to see your vet immediately and you need not have to panic, because urethral infections are common and readily curable and soalso diabetes can be managed.
I could be wrong but it sound like a UTI. Urinary tract infection. However, it could also be kidney stones. Good luck! let us know what the outcome is.
