About bad and good bahavior?

Why in the world is it so easy for a dog to learn a bad behavior, yet when you try to teach them a good behavior, it usually takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R...
For example, I put my dog outside on the runner with my other dog on a leash in my hand. I had always taught my dog to be nice to the cats outside, but my other dog (the one on the runner) loves to chase cats. (It's pretty much in her nature to chase) Steele was always good with cats, not once even /tried/ to chase them, yet that 5 minutes outside with Nighque, he saw her chasing them so he wanted to too. Now he chases them all the times if they run and it's really difficult to stop him from doing it. Although we /are/ making progress. =)
Another example: You're teaching a dog to come, and it takes a LOOOONG time over a period of weeks/months to completely train him to come around distractions 'n everything, yet if you make one mistake like fussing him out of frustration when he ran away and took a long time to get back,

maybe cuz they get so use 2 bein praised 4 the good things they do if they get a sharp word, they remeber it...like when u were a kid ur parents were always nice until u did sumtin bad and they got onto u...u remembered the bad feelin of bein punished that u didnt do it again, but wit dogs if they get punished 4 sumtin like sit, theyll get scared that if they sit theyll get punished again, u c wat im sayin?
Try teaching your dog in a quiet room, where there isn't much to be distracted by. Also, teach your dog to focus on YOU. Hold a treat up to where your eyes are, and tell your dog "Watch." Your dog needs to learn to focus on you.
Chasing cats is more fun than not chasing cats. Teaching dogs "fun" behavior is probably what makes the difference. The dog is going to try to make its life as fun as possible.
try hiring a dog specialist
