My dog was in the hospital for 2 days following his last treatment. 9 liters of fluids for dehytration. Diarhea for a week. Any ideas?

I had a friend that went through this with her dog. A tablespoon of Organic Probiotic PLAIN yogurt 30 minutes before meals and another one with the meal helped.
Certain illegal substances that settle your stomach and serve as pain killers have had excellent results in people. It would probably work just as well in pets if you limited the amount.
