I have this friend who sends all these stupid chain letters to me. Most chain letters are fake right? Well I got the following chain mail from her:
STRAY dogs are being skewered on hooks and dragged behind boats as live shark bait. The cruel practice takes place on French-controlled Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean. A six-month-old labrador pup was recently found ALIVE with a huge doub l e ho ok through its snout, and another through a leg. The pup was found in a coastal creek and is thought to have somehow freed itself from a fishing line, but other dogs and kittens have been chomped up and swallowed by sharks.
She sends me them all the time and it's annoying can anyone send me a website that says chain mail like this is fake. I'm also trying to explain to her why things like that aren't real can you help me and give reasons why that is fake. She won't beleive anything i say so i'll need back up!

Block her e-mail, they go to the spam folder and then you can see if it is a chain e-mail (by the FW.FW.FW) or just a normal e-mail. Most people just start fake e-mails to get attention. They aren't real or they just altered the real part of it. Ithink I have heard of the dog thing. There also is this place in China that puts little Kittens in jars and watch them grow inside of them. That is real, there is even a whole site dedicated into stopping it. The only reason why that is a chain email is because they want signatures for the petition. I know that things like AOL can make things go to the spam folder just by certain words. If you have something like this, just put the word FW or just forward into the spam folder word list and then all forwards will go to the spam folder.
If this person has a yahoo email address you can send it to yahoo abuse report and they can tend to it.
Some people say "Dont break the chain! We'll get in the book of world records!" Have you ever seen a longest chain mail record? Maybe, but all these little things dont usually work like that. I got one and it was like, I am a scary girl with scary eyes and if you dont send this to 15 people at 10 tonight I will appear by your bedside with a knife and kill you, if you do, you will be very lucky. I didnt send it to one person and Im not dead.
