I asked how to catch a puppy that was in my back yard and I stepped outside to see if it had a collar on and it ran off. I sat food out and am waiting for it's return. People have dropped off kittens and puppies since I live on a farm. I don't want it to run out in the road. What more can I do?

Not really. Unless you have a live trap big enough for the pup, all you can do is wait. WHY do people think farm families want more cats and dogs? Poor thing is probably scared out of its mind. Hope you can catch it. Thanks for caring.
